Post-Shoulder Surgery Rehab

Post-shoulder surgery rehab (e.g., rotator cuff repair) addresses stiffness, weakness after procedures. Common in athletes, older adults. Symptoms: limited ROM, pain. Untreated, risks re-injury.

Home Exercise Protocol

  • Week 1-2:

  • Pendulum Swing (2 sets, 30 sec): Swing arm gently.

  • Passive Arm Lift (2 sets, 10 reps): Use good arm to lift injured arm with stick.

  • NovaWell Hack: “Surge Glide” (2 sets, 10 reps): Slide arm 5° up wall.
     

  • Week 3-4:

  • Band External Rotation (2 sets, 12 reps): Pull band outward.

  • Stick Lift (2 sets, 10 reps): Lift stick overhead slowly.

  • NovaWell Hack: “Surge Pulse” (2 sets, 10 reps): Pulse arm 2 inches with band.

Objective: Regain ROM, rebuild strength, prevent setbacks

Equipment:Resistance band, broomstick
