ACL Tear/Reconstruction Rehab

ACL tears, common in soccer, basketball, disrupt knee stability. Symptoms: swelling, instability, pain. Post-reconstruction, stiffness persists. Untreated, risks further damage.

Home Exercise Protocol

  • Week 1-2:

  • Heel Slide (2 sets, 12 reps): Slide heel to bend knee gently.

  • Quad Set (2 sets, 12 reps): Tighten thigh, hold 5 sec.

  • NovaWell Hack: “Anchor Glide” (2 sets, 10 reps): Straighten knee 5° slowly.
     

  • Week 3-4:

  • Band Leg Press (2 sets, 12 reps): Push band forward.

  • Partial Squat (2 sets, 12 reps): Squat to 30°, hold chair.

  • NovaWell Hack: “ACL Pulse” (2 sets, 10 reps): Pulse knee 2 inches in extension.

Objective: Regain ROM, strengthen knee, restore stability
