Post-Total Knee Replacement Rehab

Post-total knee replacement rehab addresses stiffness, weakness after surgery, common in arthritis patients. Symptoms: swelling, limited ROM, pain. Untreated, risks poor function.
Takes more time than others ( 8-12 weeks)

Home Exercise Protocol

  • Week 1-2:

  • Heel Slide (2 sets, 12 reps): Slide heel to bend knee gently.

  • Quad Set (2 sets, 12 reps): Tighten thigh, hold 5 sec.

  • NovaWell Hack: “Renewal Glide” (2 sets, 10 reps): Flex knee 5° slowly.
     

  • Week 3-4:

  • Seated Leg Extension (2 sets, 12 reps): Extend knee with band.

  • Mini Squat (2 sets, 12 reps): Squat to 30°, hold chair.

  • NovaWell Hack: “Knee Pulse” (2 sets, 10 reps): Pulse knee 2 inches in flex.

Objective: Regain ROM, strengthen knee, improve function
