Meniscus Tear

Meniscus tears damage knee cartilage, common in sports, twisting injuries. Symptoms: pain, swelling, locking. Ranges from minor to severe (surgery needed). Untreated, risks arthritis.

Home Exercise Protocol

  • Week 1-2:

  • Heel Slide (2 sets, 12 reps): Slide heel toward butt, bend knee gently.

  • Quad Set (2 sets, 12 reps): Tighten thigh, hold 5 sec.

  • NovaWell Hack: “Mend Glide” (2 sets, 10 reps): Flex knee 5° in pain-free range.
     

  • Week 3-4:

  • Seated Leg Press (2 sets, 12 reps): Push band forward with foot.

  • Mini Squat (2 sets, 12 reps): Squat to 30°, hold chair.

  • NovaWell Hack: “Meniscus Pulse” (2 sets, 10 reps): Pulse knee 2 inches in flex.

Objective: reduce pain, restore ROM, strengthen knee
