Knee Osteoarthritis

Knee osteoarthritis is cartilage wear in the knee, common in over-50s and athletes. Symptoms: pain, stiffness, swelling. Caused by aging, obesity, or injury. Untreated, risks mobility loss.

Home Exercise Protocol

  • Week 1-2:

  • Seated Leg Extension (2 sets, 12 reps): Extend knee while seated, hold 3 sec.

  • Heel Slide (2 sets, 10 reps): Slide heel toward butt, keep knee bent.

  • NovaWell Hack: “Vitality Glide” (2 sets, 10 reps): Press knee down gently, hold 5 sec.
     

  • Week 3-4:

  • Mini Squat (2 sets, 12 reps): Squat to 30°, hold chair.

  • Band Leg Press (2 sets, 12 reps): Push band forward with foot.

  • NovaWell Hack: “Knee Pulse” (2 sets, 10 reps): Pulse leg 2 inches up in extension.

Objective: Reduce pain, improve mobility, strengthen knee


Equipment: Chair, resistance band
